i notice two properties that look alike on the scan log and wandered what is the deference between them:

Re: Clarification for scan log properties

I believe:

Files with detections - actual number of files with detections.

File detections - Actual number of infected files found.

That sounds a little weird, so here's two examples to help explain:

- An Infected exe file is scanned. 1 files with detections. 1 File detection,

- A zip file containing two infected files is scanned. 1 Files with detections, 2 file detections.

Hope that helps.

Another possiblity could be that "file detections" mean the unwanted files that are discovered, either individually or within compressed files.

What do you think?

Re: Clarification for scan log properties

My example was using real viruses, so that explanation wouldn't be valid in that case.

Perhaps there is an official answer tucked away somewhere!
