I'm unable to install McAfee on Windows XP/7/2003/2008 running on VirtualBox (4.1.18). The reason is that installer doesn't detect the correct memory size. It display a message box with the message "The minimum memory requirement to continue with this installations is: 900 Megabytes". I have set the memory size in VirtualBox to 2 GB as you can see on the attached screenshot.
Do you have any idea what is wrong?
Thank you for an answer,

Odd, i would hazard a guess that this is refering to free disk space and not ram.
I have VSE running on systems with 512Mb of total system ram and they installed without an issue.
EDIT: Unless your trying to install the most recent version of the agent as i'm still on 4.6.3122Message was edited by: Tristan on 19/06/13 12:16:56 IST
Free Disk space: more than 20 GB.
McAfee Version: 8.8.
I have the Install CD extracted. There is the file VSEAgent.ini with the following content:
; McAfee HIPS Agent installation information
; Possible values for action are:INSTALL, REMOVE, FORCE, or CHANGE
DisplayName=McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention
For patch install
patch 3 is for Windows 8 and Windwos 2012
I try to install VSEinstall.EXE. There are two other files: Agent.EXE and HIPSInstall.EXE.
I think the package which is being used for VSE install is not right one,
Browse www.mcafee.com and putin you GN there download the full package from there and install it.
