Blue screening PC

Hi Guys

I am administering a network with 256 corprate PC's

we are getting Blue screening issues, the microsoft forum has stated macafee  Agent 4.00.0011 is the cause as it is not compatable with windows 7.

can you confirm if this is the case? and advise if there is a patch for this.

I have attached the output file from windows upgrade advisor

You are correct that 4.0.0.0011 is not compatible, according to this KB article https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB66706, Agent 4.0 Patch 3 is required.  According to the Patch 3 release notes https://kc.mcafee.com/resources/sites/MCAFEE/content/live/PRODUCT_DOCUMENTATION/22000/PD22117/en_US/..., that is version 4.0.0.1494.  This article https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB60468 lists what versions of VirusScan and HIPS are compatible with Windows 7.

However, it's hard to say whether the Agent incompatibility is causing the crash.  I guess you could remove the agent from a test system and see if that solves the problem.
