I have just upgraded a couple of PC's and servers to 8.8 through ePO4.5 and find that the ODS tasks fail instantly due to authentication. I do have a domain account specified in the authentication section of the task.
Is anyone else seeing this issue?
Same issue here!
I've just submitted an SR to McAfee. Watch this space.

Hi,
I have the same issue. The on demand scan keeps saying that the authentication failed. i wonder what goes wrong. I've tested this already on:
Windows 7 pro 32 bit
Windows 2008 R1 32 bit
Windows 2008 R2 64 bit
Windows 2003 32 bit
Nowhere it is working, always the same problem.
If anyone has a pathc or a new exgtension to solve this issue please mlet us know something
Mcafee 8.8.0.777

Scan Task runs fine here without any credentials (without credentials task runs under system account)
Yes it does on my systems but that is hardly the point.

Right
Made a new task with credentials and it also runs without problems.
without giving any credentials it is working! Thanks a lot for the tip!
scheduled ODS always run under system account if not configured, but I think that we have a bug here because in 8.7i works fine when credentials are set.
