Two issues here.
First, when a message is edited it used to be the case that a line was automatically appended to the message saying who made the change and when, with an optional Why.
That option is now only available for the first message in a thread. Subsequent replies don't have the option of adding the "Edited by" line.
The second issue is that it is optional. There's a check box to allow the line to be appended, but it is unchecked by default. Surely, even if it's optional, the default should be to append the "Edited by" message?
Call me "Bumpin into Trees" crazy...But I don,t even see that option?
Just as I edited this...I have to (Manually do it). No message or option listed as I go to edit?
Edited: To add more content ( For an Example )i
It is your post no message in fact Hayton correct no option available
No Tony. I can edit your post but there's nothing there that will automatically add a line to say it's been edited by me.
I think this ought to be made available. If it's an optional feature let the default be to add the "Edited by ..." line.
