Something I only noticed because I'm using Ghostery, which shows any blocked and active third-party trackers or advertisers : the McAfee Community pages now have New Relic running on them. If like me you attempt to block trackers and analytics using Ghostery or something similar it shouldn't detract from the quote user experience unquote but McAfee might be missing out on some information about user interactions on the site, or page load times, or whatever.
"New Relic is the all-in-one web application performance tool that lets you see performance from the end user experience, through servers, and down to the line of application code."
I wouldn't normally bother to mention something like this, but according to their website New Relic is a "browser monitor". Maybe that's accurate, probably it's harmless, but it gave me pause for thought when I first saw it. If this is a webpage performance analysis program (and it probably is) I wish they would say so, in plain English.
