Is there a problem with this site's security certificate? If there isn't, why does Firefox 29 report a server error when I try to access 'community.mcafee.com' ?
I'm absolutely certain that this question has been asked before.
Edit - Yes, I thought so. Several months ago I saw the same 'Secure Connection Failed' message and posted this same question then. With many screenshots and a long discussion about the merits of OCSP stapling.

I'm sure it's been asked before too and I can't find it...however I am getting a lot of FF29 crashes for no apparent reason and that has been reported in several forums. Periodically it will offer to send a report to Mozilla.
I think FF29 is a mess to be quite honest but Mozilla will never admit that of course.
Crashes are SiteAdvisor, as I said in another thread. Mozilla have filed a formal bug report but need to find a contact inside McAfee to liaise with.
And comparing FF29 and SiteAdvisor ..... pot, kettle.
OK so this may be another matter then, sorry. Haven't seen the security popup, Maybe that was a temporary server glitch?
A server glitch, yes. But not this server.
The reasons are fully - exhaustively - explained in the earlier thread (link above in OP).
Somer at the time opened a Level 1 case with Jive but I got hacked off with all the questions they were firing at me and I think it died the death.
The OCSP problem is still there and won't go away, and I'm absolutely not willing to compromise browser security by disabling security settings to allow the certificate to be accepted on the nod.
