Since last night, True Key is neither detecting my face nor accepting my password.
I will try removing the Keychain entries again, and hopefully it works, but I wanted to post here so developers know this issue has not been resolved.
Thank you for your response. The issue has not been resolved, but there is a hack for the time being. My follow up would be (and I apologize if I'm supposed to open a new thread for this) how does one migrate out of True Key?
This issue has occurred many times, and it has cost me a lot of precious time as I deal with very time sensitive issues at work.

Did you notice being unable to login either with the face or MP after True Key app was updated? What is your True Key version.
Using the Keychain workaround is resetting your system which is probably what the system needed after the update.
Having said that I can check on our systems if you are getting unusual errors in our backend so we can try to get to the root cause why you used that workaround.
Finally, when you say migrating out of TK, I suppose you mean uninstalling the application, if that is the case then you can uninstalling it like any other app but if you like I can try getting to the bottom of this so you don't have that inconvenience of running several times the Keychain workaround.
I'm not sure about right after an update, but it just happened again right now. The version is 1.22.0.
Please let me know what you find out, I'll clear the keychain.
No, migration means moving data from one app to another. How can I move all my stored passwords out of True Key to another app?
Update: Closing Chrome helped clear the app's state. I am now able to log in again.

Regarding the corrupt state that you are experiencing, probably when you ran the Keychain method, you had Chrome and TK opened so the Keychain workaround did not completely ran clearing effectively the cache.
What I can see here is probably that some files on your True Key app did not get all updated with all the recent new releases we had, I would suggest to reinstall the app on your MAC and at least you will be sure to start from a clean state.
You can export your data to a JSON file by going to settings and selecting export.
