Shred Temporary Internet Files

Jump to solution

Hi,

I'm performing the following steps:

  1. Start Quick Clean to determine potential files to shred. Cancel this once results are displayed.
  2. Run Shredder for Temporary Internet Files
  3. Restart Quck Clean to see what has been shredded.

This indicates that Shredder only shreds the temporary files for Internet Explorer. In my case the number of temporary files for Firefox and Chrome displayed by Quick Clean are unchanged. Shredder has not touched them.

Is this expected behaviour? To me it looks like a bug.

Any way I can get Shredder to behave as advertised?

If you are referring issue: QuickClean does not remove Chrome or Firefox temporary files. It was a bug seen in 16.0.17 version of the antivirus suite. The bug has been addressed in the latest version of antivirus 16.0.18. More information at this link.

cheers
