Do you have a USB flash drive you could download the fixes to using a clean machine of course? You could try that.Message was edited by: Ex_Brit on 12/08/11 5:37:02 EDT PM
Yes I did download McAfee fix to my usb flash drive, but I can't get to it with windows explorer because the virus is busy creating many copies of some .exe file that ties up the system.
You`re unable to run any executable exe files since XP AntiSpyware(and its OS variants)2012 blocks them running from the registry, however the good folks at Bleepingcomputer(and in particular Grinler - Admin of BleepingComputer) have put together a fix for all the those that are infected with this bugger.
First, download this file to your USB stick or any other removable media device:
When that has been done, insert the removable device into the infected PC, and open the folder which is associated with that drive. Double-Click on FixNCR.reg and allow to merge with the registry if requested, you should now be able to run exe files.
Click on the link below for more info on how to remove this infection.

Phyllis,If you are having problems still. You can try to download Rkill from bleeping computer first.Download from a clean computer to a usb stick. Then run on infected computer. It will run for a little while. Then you will see a black screen for a minute. When the black screen is gone. You are ready to run any of the other suggestions such as Malwarebytes. You may need to download Malwarebytes to usb also. Rkill will kill all running processes so you can not reboot after it is done.If you reboot before running Malwarebytes or stinger. The Malware will start back up.Then you can run Malwarebytes or stinger. Here is link to Rkill from Bleeping computer. There are more then 5 differant named versions to aviod the Malware problem. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkillMessage was edited by: newjack on 8/13/11 10:26:58 AM EDT
