During the initial configuration of TIE v. 184.108.40.206 (combo TIE & DXL intended) the configuration wizard timed-out prior to configure the Postgresql read-only username and the login prompt was returned. Consequently, the services will not start after reboot and the TIE/DXLbroker statis in ePO is not connected.
A hint on how to restart the installation process will be appreciated - only remote, ssh connection and unprivileged user configured during installation is available.
Tried running reconfig-ma, as documented in KB85043, but the failed with McAfee Agent is not installed. Support suggested to reinstall the tieserver RPM package in /apps - workaround not applicable, has to be root fr that.
If I recall correctly, that unprivileged user created during install has some pretty locked down permissions; you'll most likely need to su to root to get much done. Also, the root account isn't allowed to SSH to the server either, so SSH via unprivileged user and then su to root seems to be the only way to admin remotely (without changing default permissions, of course).
Also, if you've had a botched install, it'd probably be better to redeploy from the template than to try and spend a lot of time fixing it.
