I'm seeing the same issue as you comment on my testing computers. VSE 8.8 patch 7, TIE module 1.0.0.283, TIE server 1.3.0.235.

That hotfix isn't available on McAfee Portal... I suppose you requested it opening a case on Service Portal?¿

Hi,

from my point of information we have two troubles here.

  • Patch 5-7 are changing something with ODScans. We have the high CPU usage trouble with any customer using a higher Patch level than Patch 4.

There can be some registry keys set to give back the same ODScan performance like VSE P4.

, any change in your environment?

I have patch 6 deployed and clients are working fine during ODS.

What registry keys are you talking about? And.. what is the second trouble?

We have no issues and have fully updated to Patch 7, Agent 5.0.2.233 tie module 1.0.1.140, one thing we changed was to disable Compressed file scanning on access. after patch 4 issues.

I have checked after some scans CPU performance is ok, maybe CPU high consumption is only during first analysis...
