Cannot access TIE server via Putty

Hi,

I am trying to access my TIE server by using "Putty" but i keep  getting the access denied message, i am using Root to logon and a password that i can login with when going to the TIE server  but i cannot access this via "Putty".

I have made alterations to the readonly file and the ssh_config file but i still have no luck.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening please?

Thanks inadvance

Re: Cannot access TIE server via Putty

I had the same problem. I was only able to login with the admin user via ssh and putty. After login with the admin user i was abel to use a sudo su command to login with the root user. Everything was fine.

Re: Cannot access TIE server via Putty

Just type after a successfull Login with the admin User : sudo su and enter the root password

There is no GUI for the Logs. You can find the logs under /var/log/Mcafee.

Re: Cannot access TIE server via Putty

Hi,

You can output command result to text file using below command

$command > filename

For example

$date > Output.txt

> is used for putting resulting logs to the specified file.

Re: Cannot access TIE server via Putty

HI

Thank you for getting back to me.

So am i correct in thinking that if i wonted to put the dxlbroker.log into $command > filename, i would write it as dxlbroker.log > dxlbroker.txt?

Thanks inadvance

Re: Cannot access TIE server via Putty

Hello,

dxlbroker.log > dxlbroker.txt this won't work

      1              >   2

first part should be standard command, the resulting command stores the outcome of the command to the specified file,

$date > Output.txt in this $date is stand command and the result is stored inside the output.txt, if you open the text file you should be able to see date.
