Schroec,
Thank you for your question.
MVT taks take less than 90 seconds however, you need to wait for the agent to send back the events to the ePO server to see the results. Alternatively, you can perform an agent wake-up to collect the information faster.
Does this include the amount of time it would need to restart services, etc. in order to correct problems?
in most cases yes however, regarding services if the system is unresponsive or slow it might take longer to restart them.
Thank you.
I have a machine where it never ends!
Please help us with the following details so as to find the root cause of this problem:
Windows platform & its service pack?
Are all other client task running completing successfully?
Did you try to abort that MVT run and again run the client task? If so, did it complete successfully 2nd time?
Running Windows Professional.
All other client tasks were fine and ran to completion
I tried a number of times to run MVT -- cancel it and try to run it
-- also tried a number of times -- cancel it -- REBOOT -- try to run it
-- it just kept running
Finally, in desperation, I uninstalled McAfee and reinstalled McAfee.
Now, I have the MVT DAT problem!
Hi George,
From the above, I understand that MVT tasks are now completing on the end node.
Are you saying that MVT is now detecting a DAT out of date deviation for some product(VSE)? Or Is it that MVT content is out of date?
It would help, if you could post a screenshot of the issue you are seeing.
Happy to help you!
