SiteAdvisor not getting through proxy

Does anyone know the URL or IP that need to be safe listed for Web Control (SiteAdvisor) to work via a proxy?

Hi,

you can configure a Proxy Server for the Site Advisor Enterprise to access the Internet through a Proxy Server!

Task 1 From ePolicy Orchestrator, click Menu | Policy | Policy Catalog.

2 From the Product list, select SiteAdvisor Enterprise 3.5.0; from the Category list, select General.

3 For the policy you want to edit, click Edit.

4 Click the Proxy Server tab.

5 Select the type of proxy server settings to use.

6 Specify any additional required information.

7 Click Save.

Thanks Andreas, I have set the option to 'Use system proxy' but the rating is still showing as unable to retrieve web control information? Are there URLs that need to be safelisted on our network proxy?

You should be able to reach dss1.siteadvisor.com or dss2.siteadvisor.com!

What is the IP address of the SiteAdvisor rating server?

The SiteAdvisor rating servers do not use a dedicated IP address. For SAE 3.0, use DNS to reach dss1.siteadvisor.com or dss2.siteadvisor.com.

Please check also:

For SAE 3.5, perform an nslookup on saelist.gti.mcafee.com. This provides an IP address of all current GTI ratings servers. The FQDN of the GTI rating server used by SAE 3.5  is sae.gti.mcafee.com.
