SiteAdvisor Enterprise 3.5 in ePO

I followed the instructions provided by McAfee but something isn't working right. If I  do an "about" on the McAfee tray icon, it shows SiteAdvisor Enterprise and the version number, but nothing is working in any search that I do.

Trying to avoid calling tech support...

When you say '.... but nothing is working in any search that I do.'.  You mean the color indicator is not lighting up or something else?  You can't click on the SAE icon?

Re: SiteAdvisor Enterprise 3.5 in ePO

I'll check when I get back in the office on Monday, but there are no "rating indicators" showing up, and I have no clue what the SAE icon is. We just upgraded to Endpoint Protection Advanced from just the regular McAfee 8.8 w/anti-spyware module.

Thanks for the response.

No color indicators and also no SAE icon. I am guessing the icon would be in Firefox or IE?

Hi timb69, SAE 3.5  plugin won't work under firefox 4.x and newer (should work with SAE 3.5 patch 1) but it should work with IE 8.0 and 9.0 (with IE 9.0 you have to enable the plugin under options)

Are you using IE 8 or 9?

Re: SiteAdvisor Enterprise 3.5 in ePO

Well yesterday,  I called McAfee tech support and they got it working in IE 8. Most of us here use Firefox though. I am using SAE 3.5, not sure about Patch1 though. Has it even been released?
