McAfee SiteAdvisor Enterprise 3.5 Patch 5 is now available on the product download site and ePO software manager.

SiteAdvisor Enterprise 3.5 Patch 5 includes the following improvements:

What’s new in SAE 3.5 patch 5?

Support for Microsoft Office 2016

Support for latest versions of Firefox and Chrome

Supports “Embedded Tool bar” functionality. Embedded toolbar is the standard browser’s supported way to create a toolbar. It functions as a part of and as well within the browser itself.

Win XP and Win 2003 platforms are now unsupported

Resolved Issues

981478    Fixed intermittent crashes during shutdown

1070404  Yahoo search annotations shows appropriate color-code for yellow or red rated sites

1073827  SAE blocks the sites that are pre-rendered on Chrome

1093390  SAE supports Firefox 40 and higher versions

1101566  SAE consistently blocks malicious pages set as home page in Internet Explorer

1102986  SAE successfully installs using third party software

1106054  Not reporting all sites to ePO

Note:

Make sure that you close all browser windows before installing the product.
McAfee Agent minimum version required is 4.8 Patch 3

Microsoft is slowly opening up plugin / extension support for Edge in Win10. There are ongoing negotiations happening to change their minds on that for Site Advisor and True Key.

In parallel, we are integrating McAfee Client Proxy (MCP) with Web SaaS / MWG in the next ENS 10.5 release so that customers can have the choice of extension less protection for browsers. The MCP integration in ENS will help provide protection until Microsoft opens up 3rd party plugin/extension support for Edge more widely.
