Updates for McAfree were downloaded but the install has been "running" ever since.....now going on for 3 hours. What happened?
Maybe the server went down and caused a loop. Can you end the task and reboot and see if that fixes it?
Otherwise uninstall via Control Panel
Then run the MCPR cleanup tool and reboot
Reinstall from the online account.
Same sort of thing happened to me friday evening , except it sat on "downloading updates" with nothing happening. Cancelled the update and rebooted. Will see what happens tonight.
