Administrator issues while trying to install McAfee

Hi,
so i restored my computer a few days ago and tried to reinstall McAfee.
but from that moment on every McAfee oriented program i'm trying to run is getting the same error message:
"an administrator has blocked you from running this app..."

i tried a few things described around the web but nothing seems to work until now (main advice was to un check the check box when entering the properties after right clicking the install icon...but this check box doesn't exist).

anyone knows how to solve this issue?

thanks!

Scroll down the following thread at MS Forums and look for the solution - it is highlighted in grey.

That may help.

"An administrator has blocked you from running this app."

Re: Administrator issues while trying to install McAfee

Hello tal

Please try  the below steps and see if it helps

Open the Downloads folder or whichever directory you've downloaded the setup file. Start command prompt as Administrator by clicking on File

2-Open_Command_prompt_as_administrator.jpg

Within the command prompt select McAfee installer using "Tab" key - usually Setup_serial_xxxx...key.exe and hit Enter

Re: Administrator issues while trying to install McAfee

You should also be able to right-click on the setup exe file and run as administrator.  As alternative, temporarily disable user access control.  If that doesn't resolve it, check with your admins to see if there are any group policies preventing installs.
