tv tuner not available when firewall on

Not working if McAfee firewall is on.

1. Turned off Mcafee Firewall.
2. Rebooted
3.Media Center worked fine.

4. Turned on Media center Firewall.
5. Rebooted
6. Media Center cannot find the tv tuner.

How can I configure McAfee to recognize TV tuner in Media Center without having to turn off the firewall?

Glad it's solved. Obviously it's an external TV Tuner as I know my internal one doesn't have an IP address?

TV Tuner and new McAfee update having problem

I had my computer set to auto install updates, but now my External ATI Digital Cable Tuner does not work in Media Center. It appear the user below had the same problem. If I unistall Mcafee, the tuner comes up with no problem. Then I reinstall the Mcafee software and it works, but if my computer is rebooted the Tuner is not found in Media center. How do I correct this problem. Operating syst;em is Window Vista Home premium on a HP.

Did you read the FAQ in a post above?

Check Program permissions under the firewall by doing the following:

Double click the taskbar icon to open Security Center
Click Advanced Menu (bottom left)
Click Configure (left)
Click Internet & Network (top left)
Click Advanced (right)
Click Program Permissions (left)

Make sure that Media Center (ehshell.exe) is listed and has full access, if not add it.
Also, as I don't use an external TV Tuner to compare, maker sure that any associated software is given full access.
