My Chinese friend's help may not be needed after all. This message appeared in a different thread 3 minutes after it was posted here - https://community.mcafee.com/thread/28900
The poster must have discovered one of the automatic text translators.. but I do note that the moderator dealing with this does not yet realise that the original was posted in Chinese.
And, for the record, the (translated) title of the thread is "mcafee update can not open some pages".
Or, possibly, "The updated portion of the Web page does not open".
These translation tools are only very approximate.
The most Zenlike translation I have yet seen runs :
"After the renewal, starts when the network connections defeat,
the basic connection on connections defeat,
the basic connection on network, after afterward did not renew,
presents the partial homepages not to be able to open,
question still exists, looks at the solution,
thanks solution, thanks"
I still think having someone on hand who can translate Chinese to English might be a good idea.Message was edited by: Hayton on 14/10/10 01:05:30 IST
Yes I saw that but I still think the original poster's best solution would be to use the Chinese language online chat. Thanks for your help.
I'll cross-reference these two threads.
