i have installed McAfee 2012 for 3 PC and since then i am getting a white blank window for the virus scan and I don't have access to the products menu. on running MVT i am getting a DAT issue .
Have already tried installing it again but the same problem shows up.
Request you to help me with this.
my system is Dell studio Win7 with IE9
Sorry for the deferred response , could you please try the below steps and update the status;
Open Internet explorer – Click on Tools – Click on Windows update – Install any available windows update
Uninstall IE 9 – rolls back to IE 8
Reboot the PC and check the status of McAfee
If you still encounter blank screen , please click on Useful links at the top of this page and click on Technical support so as our technicians may remote inn top diagnose the issue
my system came preinstalled with IE9 so i dont think i can roll back to IE8.
i tried updating the win and running some registry scans. so as of now the MVT is not showing me any error but still the McAfee window comes as blank white page. also now i am facing a issue where my focus from media player keeps getting lost to some other process and my win minimizes automatically. i wonder if it might be due to some threat and want to run the antivirus scan asap.
also my old McAfee was exp and then this white window stuff started and is still there even after i have upgraded to the latest version.

On reading the post, I understand that you are having issues with Virus Scan product you have installed and the product screen is showin up as blank for you.
As far I as the first MVT report, it is clear that the DAT was not upto date earlier now that you have updated the DAT, MVT is not showing any issues pertaining to the product.
Could you please attach the screenshot of the issue you are facing(Blank screen of the product)? We will work with the concerned product team to bring your issue to their notice and will try to resolve the issue. Additionally could you also provide the MVT SessionID - You could get this by launching the MVT application again from your desktop shortcut or the Start - Programs and the Session ID is displayed in the Welcome Page (the first page shown to you on launching MVT).

McAfee was preinstalled when i bought dell studio and was working fine for that year but since the time i have reinstalled with the latest version , this white screen is getting displayed.
When you reinstalled did to remove Mcafee as per
ie use the mcpr tool as well?
reboot and run mcpreinstall and reinstall your product.
Did you ever have another AV installed?

Since the issue is with respect to the Consumer product Suite and not MVT could you please move the thread to the appropriate bucket?
Please click on Technical support at the top of this page and then click technical support so as our McAfee tech could remote inn to your PC and get it fixed for you.

as i have mentioned earlier, the live chat option is not there for my country(INDIA)
hence was looking some work around to solve my problem.
