Unable to remove Mcafee product

Downloaded Adobe Flash Player update and Mcafee Security Scan Plus also downloaded and installed.

After download/installation, there is a popup - Mcuicnt - entry point not found

I stopped the popup by making sure MSSP did not start when I boot the laptop.

However, when I try to uninstall MSSP, I get the popup and uninstall will not progress.

I have checked for Malware, virus, scanned registry, but I still cannot uninstall because of popup.

I tried downloading MSSP to try a second install but also get popup and it will not progress.

I tried to download the Mcafee tool but fail because of popup

I have restored the system but still cannot uninstall MSSP because of popup.

I have read some of the posts online and some of them say that the only way is to re-install windows.

Is there any other way to delete MSSP???

Running Windows Vista.

Re: Unable to remove Mcafee product

Usually you just use the windows app removal option in programs and features (Add remove programs in vista maybe)

If this not working best to call support they will help and if still an issue ask for an escalation call back from a high level tech.
