As I reported earlier an update fixed the traffic monitor problem. However, two days ago I noticed by accident that my virus signatures were not updating with no automatic notifications. In addition, I could not verify my account status because of connection errors with the McAfee servers. Virtual Technician could not connect either. I tried a number of other solutions but finally ended up calling McAfee for help. After messing around a bit it was determined I needed to delete the entire installation and reinstall McAfee Virus Scan Plus. I have been a McAfee customer for more than 5 years and have dealt with numerous issues during that time; this was the final straw. I decided to delete McAfee as suggested and switched to Microsoft Security Essentials instead of reinstalling. I simply have lost confidence in the integrity of the McAfee program to protect my computer.
