Hope this is helpful for other users. I have been struggling for the last three months to get Total Project Service to update either automatically or manually on a SBS 2003 box. I was receiving the following error when trying to manually update the software, “Unable to connect to Total Protection Service update server. Failed to connect to server for updates. Update failed.” And the automatic updates never worked either.
After several unsuccessful calls into McAfee support, I finally figured out the problem myself.
