Yes, I'm quite sure the message pops up following an update. But I've given up and gone to another program. I was getting McAfee free with Comcast, but it's just not worth the hassle. I've done everything I've been told to do with no improvement. And the final verdict was a virus, which hasn't been detected by any antivirus software.

From what I have learned, if you have problems you should try to avoid the 'FIX'. 'FIX' doesn't always really fix. It's best to ignore the 'FIX' option and try to resolve the underlying problems on your own.
As I did with the systemguards: I didn't click on 'FIX', but just reenabled the system guards, probably followed by a reboot.
