Yesterday I saw that my Real time Scan was Off. I tried to start it again, but after 2 minutes saying it was trying to start it went back off. So I tried the steps to fix it that are on the mcafee website, until uninstalling the software.
I downloaded the installer form my account, and when I double on the installer, after 1 minute my conputer displays the blue screen error and I have to restart the computer.
I know that this happens a lot but I can't find a solution in the forums.
What is your operating system and service pack and are you totally up to date, including any things you may not use such as Internet Explorer?
Also are you drivers up to date as BSOD's are often the result of bad drivers.
When uninstalling/reinstalling, did you run the MCPR cleanup tool in-between? (See the link under Useful Links at the top of this page).
