Question about "Your computer is not protected" message
Like others on this forum, I sometimes get the message "Your computer is not protected" and it turns out that the reason is that my subscription status can't be determined. This happens every week or two (although it happened both yesterday and today). I discovered that if I simply take no action, the error goes away on its own after an hour or two.
My question is this: Is McAfee protecting my computer or not when the message is displayed? I'm inclined to think my computer is protected and that the error message is generated just because McAfee has detected an inconsistency in my configuration. However, I'd appreciate an opinion from someone who is more well-informed in these matters.
Please note: I am not asking for help in suppressing the error message.

Thanks for the reply. It seems that you're asking me to run Virtual Technician to troubleshoot why I'm getting the error message. I appreciate that offer, but as I already noted, I don't wish to do so. Thanks again.
