The McAfee logo appears in place of images on most web pages. Very irritating. I saw a solution that said to go to the Parental controls and turn off image blocking. No such option exists. Double clicking on the User name does not help. Can you suggest a way around this? Otherwise I am going to uninstall McAfee and go to another virus software. Thanks, JeanPer
Nope, it is NOT there. Your link is where I got the solution in the first place before I wrote my request for help. All that is there is User Settings with no options as the edit is greyed out except for the guest user, filtered Web Sites and Keywords.
What is the operating system in use and what is the version of McAfee used?
How many users are set in the Operating system Do you have any other security application installed? (Say webroot for instance) What is the browser that has this issue and what is the version number of that?
Op System: Windows XP, SP2 Users: 5, all type admin No other security ap; this started with a McAfee update but I don't know which one. Browser: Foxfire Version 3.0.1
also, can you please try "right clicking" on the mcafee on icon on your system tray(taskbar), clicked on switch user, and see if you are logged in as administrator..? if not, log in as admin, then do the steps suggested on the link below..
Before you can change any settings in PS, you need to be logged into an account with administrator account. Please make sure that you are logged into a Windows User account with administrator rights.
