I have Vista Home Premium and the latest McAfee Security Center update this May causes me to lose internet connection when using my router, I have had this router for almost 2 years and never had any problems with McAfee updates before. Does anyone else have this problem or know a solution to my problem?
It does it occasionally for me too and I right-click "Diagnose and Repair" - usually fixes it in seconds.

I contacted support by phone and they said it had to be the router, well I kind of suspected it wasn't, so I went ahead and uninstalled McAfee Security Center with the router hooked up and as soon as the computer rebooted the internet connection came back. So it has to be the McAfee update doing it. I'm going to reinstall the McAfee and see if I still get internet connection after the install with the router hooked up. If it doesn't I guess I will do a system restore and not update the McAfee until they get it fixed.
That's too bad, I guess the information hasn't filtered down to all levels of support. Try posting on that main thread or call support back and insist on escaltion making sure you point oiut that it is a known issue - at least to us it is.

Support is in India and I suppose it's hit and miss with the understandability issue, sorry about that. All I can say is it could be better the next time around.
