My computer began showing notices from McAfee telling me which files it was deleting. I do not know why it is doing this. It keeps deleting the same files over and over again, obscures about a fourth of the screen, and interrupts whatever I am doing. It requires a response to get rid of it but then it does it again. It says it is "McAfee as a Service." It is so annoying I think it should be re-named "McAfee as a Virus." Is there any way to get rid of this? If there isn't I guess I should uninstall it and get a different protection.
Thanks for any help.
McAfee as a Service is I think SaaS an Enterprise product. What product exactly do you have installed?Message was edited by: Ex_Brit on 02/08/12 2:48:20 EDT PM
I don't know. I had McAfee virus protection installed by Yogi several months ago. This notice issue just arose in the last week or so.
I've only heard bad things about Yogi so just as well you aren't dealing with them. Assuming it was a home product run the MCPR cleanup tool listed under Useful Links at the top of this page.
If that fails you'll have to think a bit harder as to exactly what Yogi did and how, maybe, to contact them and perhaps ask what it was?
