Didn't catch infection

I have Security Center.  In the past week my computer was infected twice by the FakeAlert-WinwebSecuirty.gen.  Secuirty Center failed to alert me or stop the infection both times.  Security Center as well as my browsers were disabled by the virus.  I was forced to restore my system after each attach to gain back control of my computer.  I can't find any email address or other support area to ask for help in determining why Secruity Center failed and how to keep it from happening again.  My dats and engine are up to date according to Secuirty Center.  Any help is appreciated.

Re: Didn't catch infection

Hello Vac,

No Anti Virus is 100% perfect.

Please do the following:

Run THIS tool to make sure you are free of infection.

Then please run THIS tool,

Save it to your Desktop.

Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.

A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.

Thank you.

Re: Didn't catch infection

Navigate to Start --> Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs, and uninstall the following program (if present):

Java™ 6 update 23 (and any another other versions)

Adobe Reader 9.1.2 (and any other versions)

Restart your computer.

Get the latest version of Java and Adobe Reader

Most likely the infection came through the Java.
