Been attempting to activate for days after installing McAfee. Each time I get the message "We're sorry, but we're having trouble activating your McAfee products..."
Opened a service request with McAfee: #455026056
IE8 default browser
Internet connectivity confirmed
Uninstalled/reinstalled McAfee several times
Ran Virtual Technician - accomplished virtually nothing.
Can you please try the following steps and let me know the status;
Open IE - click tools - internet options - Advanced - Reset internet explorer
Then make a right click on M icon (at the system tray), click product setup and continue the prompts.
From the options you get , select Login and enter your credentials and try to activate mcafee
If you still receive an error please navigate to C drive and check whether there exists a folder name sysprep
Also attach a screen shot of the error you receive.

There is no sysprep folder on my C drive.
I reset IE

I get no prompts after clicking Product Setup, it just produces the error message.
I'm also attaching the results from Virtual Techician: VT.jpg
I clicked to download the updates there, afterwhich I still got the same error trying to active the product.
