I see there are a few other posts that about getting a blank, non-responsive installer after it says "Please wait while we gather information about your Mcafee download" and I've tried every recommended solution I can find.
Despite normally running firefox I checked I had IE8 and set it to the default browser and performed the reset
I ran the MCPR tool and restarted my computer
I ran the Pre-installer
I'm running Windows 7 and bought the software direct from Mcafee
Please try the below the steps before reinstallation ;
Please reset your internet explorer settings (refer : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737)
Checked for any available windows updates
Run the Mcpreinstall tool from here and retry your installation.

Nope still nothing, I've installed every Windows update available, what else can you recommend?
My IE Version is 8.0.7600. I assume this is the most up to date version as there don't seem to be any available updates.Message was edited by: Frustrations on 24/09/10 05:40:51 CDT
