After unexpected shut down McAfee settings get reset.

Whether it be because of a crash (BSOD), power failure etc. I always get the same results:

After Windows experiences an unexpected shutdown my McAfee settings get reset to the default.

For example, all my firewall program permissions which I have set just vanish.

This matter could even be exploited by malicious programs. A program could effectively override and reset any custom McAfee settings which I have set.

Is this behaviour intentional? And is there anything I can do about it?

(By the way, I have experienced the same behaviour since SecurityCentre 2007 [? I think] on both Windows Vista and 7)
