We are evaluating McAfee Security for SharePoint. I don't see anywhere that you could configure alert email notifications. With our current product, the admins are alerted via email when a virus is detected. Does the McAfee product have this functionality?
McAfee provides central management of the product through ePO. Email notification is provided through ePO for all products. Direct email notification feature is not available in McAfee Security for Microsoft SharePoint (MSMS). MSMS will send virus detection events to ePO and ePO will send email notifications to administrators. Using ePO you can centally manage all MSMS. It provides central reporting and notifications as well.
