dssummary per data source

Hi, guys

I need to get an actual EPS for most of my data sources per data source.

as far as I know the only way to get a real EPS is using dssummary.

is there any keys for this command or any other commands to get a list looks like this:

data source name : EPS (daily/monthly)?

if there is a way to get it in GUI view or in report - also would work for me.

thank you in advance

McAfee event reporter > Events per second

Re: dssummary per data source

this way it's too slow - few minutes per device and too complicated - need to manualy switch between devices.

also not very convinient to create a report, instead of one line info I will need to do screenshots and the report for 200 data sources will be a full book.

Re: dssummary per data source

If you have an ELM associated with the event receiver and the data source of interest is logging to the ELM, you can generate a report containing a lot of the various data bits for all ELM data sources.  It's not real-time information as you may have deduced, and of course requires an ELM.

In the ELM Configuration and Management panel, select ELM Management menu option, then "View Statistics" and finally select the "ELM Usage" tab.  That will immediately kick the ELM into a mode where it generates the stats for all data sources feeding it.  Depending on the size of your ELM and number of data sources, this can take a significant while to generate.  It might even claim it has timed out but still may complete.

This option is not available on the ELM CLI, although if you are good with Linux it can be figured out what it is running under the covers on the ELM.  The one caveat with that is that it reports the data sources by DSID which you then have to mate with the human-understandable data source names.

Re: dssummary per data source

My suggestion would be to use the "Collection Rate By Device Per Second" query in a query csv report (or a regular table/graph report if you prefer).
