SIEM ESM restore question

I would like to understand how the restore process work for ESM. Since there is there is two option, full backup and backup now. If I run a "backup now" through ESM and the ESM needs to be restore from a backup at some point, what gets restore if I use the backup taken to restore.

Re: SIEM ESM restore question

Full backup is everything including parsed events. Backup now is just ESM configuration and settings, no data.

Re: SIEM ESM restore question

thanks for this information. As far as doing a restore of data, how does this work? is there an incremental option? is the only option to restore data is to do a full backup (example nightly) and restore as needed?

Re: SIEM ESM restore question

Full backup is copied to a remote location, and takes days to finish, ESM will go offline during backup.
