Questions regarding virtual appliance licensing model

Hi Guys,

I have a few questions regarding virtual appliance licensing model.

  • According to what I know, it count "Per ESX Server". I'm not sure about a word "ESX Server" mean, however. Does it refer to a single "virtual appliance" (aka one VM) or it does refer to a physical server (aka ESX host) running VMware ESX
  • If it does refer to an ESX host, for an event receiver, how the devices count? Per a single virtual appliance or a sum of all devices of every virtual appliances as a whole?
  • Any other restriction? Anything else we should know or concern before pick up a VM solution? Would you mind sharring with the rest of us?

Best regards,

Parinya
