LDAP Authentication

Platform: Combo box

Version: 9.1.3

I'm having two problems with enabling LDAP Authentication.

1.  In the user's gude for 9.1.3 the instructions under Login Security > LDAP Authentication, step 4 where I enter the IP address of the LDAP server.  Is there a way to use the DNS name for the LDAP server instead of the actual IP address?

2. In Step 8 of the same instructions I need to chand the LDAP Query field except there is not LDAP query field in the Login Security > LDAP window.  How is this changed?

Re: LDAP Authentication

Hi Russell

In answer to your questions - for the DNS Server you will need to use an IP address. I also see the problem with Step 8 of the documentation and I will need to check with our Documenation group on that step.

Thanks

Chris

Re: LDAP Authentication

Hi Russell

Step 8 should have been removed from the Documentation as it is no longer needed for LDAP Authentication Settings. It will be removed in an upcoming release.

Re: LDAP Authentication

So, for the second issue, if the LDAP query my system uses is different that will not be a problem?

Re: LDAP Authentication

Hi Russell

Without knowing the specifics of your setup I can't really say if you will encounter a problem. However, if you do please log a support ticket and we will work with you to get any problems resolved ASAP.
