We have a number of devices with a red flag indicating critical status. When I perform a Health check, the only issue is "FAIL ha_status command returned an unknown HA mode status" which doesn't really tell me anything. I notice that we are recieving logs from these devices, so I'm not even sure what is failing. Is there any way I can investigate these types of things?

If ha_status is returning an unknown mode, then your HA pair is not going to work effectively - at a minimum it is likely that failing over will not work.
One common reason for this is using passwords with unsupported characters in them for HA pairs - please see KB90026:

If you have rekeyed your HA pair of receivers with a new password which does not contain these characters and the issue persists, please raise a service request and our support team will work with you to resolve this issue.
