Forward logs from Windows Event Logs to Event Receiver

I have several Windows computers that I'd like to forward Windows Event logs from to a Event Receiver. I have to send the logs udp. What software program is recommended for this and what format is recommended?

Re: Forward logs from Windows Event Logs to Event Receiver

You can use SIEM Collector for this.

We have a utility called as SIEM Collector for Windows.

This can be installed in a Windows domain controller as well and we can add multiple clients.

Please refer the below link:

https://docs.mcafee.com/bundle/enterprise-security-manager-10.2.0-product-guide-unmanaged/page/GUID-...

The SIEM Collector can be downloaded from the Mcafee Products download page when you log in with your grant number.

Re: Forward logs from Windows Event Logs to Event Receiver

You can select the following DS configuration.

Datasource Vendor: Microsoft

Data Source Model: Windows Event Log - CEF

Data Format: Default

Data Retrieval: SYSLOG

Enter the IP address of the Windows machine and click on OK.

This would ensure events are sent across udp syslog port 514.

You also have the option of installing Syslog-ng and selecting the Syslog relay as syslog-ng as Windows does not have a default mechanism of sending logs via Syslog.
