FMC sending Syslog to ERC issue

We are getting or ESM configured and working to add our Firepower Management Center as a data source.  Currently it is configured to send syslog to the ERC, but the ERC doesn't seem to be getting anything.  

How would we configure the data source in the ERC to begin pulling this data?  Do we need to set it up using eStreamer?

Yes. You can configure the estreamer collection method as mentioned in the below article to collect the logs.

We need to check the packet traffic from syslog to see if the Cisco FMC is sending anything to the receiver but you can configure the estreamer collection method and check the status
