Timeouts typically occur due to networking issues (firewall, virtual routing from vip to pip) you can also double check that the timeout occurs going from the ETM.
Putty to the ETM
ssh ip.x.x.x "ip.x.x.x is the ip address of the ADM"
If it timeouts still, then something sitting between your ETM and the Virtual ADM is preventing connectivity, or the routing is not getting the data where it needs to go.
You may be able to use traceroute and see what devices end up appearing in the path between the two hosts.
There is no firewall between ADM and ESM, they are in the same VLAN. I think it's the ADM blocking it, but how do I get access to it? I already cleaned an access control list and it did not work. Traceroute did not return anything.
Do you have access to the console through the virtualization server? It may be a case of the virtualization software assigned it an IP, but the SIEM Virtual images require you to use the console for configuring the IP/gateway/subnet. I have seen that occur a few times as well.
Download the new ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Support Center Extension which simplifies ePO management and provides support resources directly in the console. Learn more about ePO Support Center
