ESM System Event for Snowflex Latency Issue

We need assistance with some method for alerting within the following conditions in the event of a DoS/DDoS attack which significantly reduces the latency of connection between ESM and Receiver. One of our clients recently experienced a DoS attack and which all the health monitoring systems were correctly displaying healthy status the data transfer between ERC and ESM was NOT occuring. The following were true: 1. ESM was healthy and online 2. ERC (Remote) was healthy and online ingesting data 3. Site to Site was up and connected While the above was true because the link was fully saturated due to the DoS attack the ERC was NOT able to send any event data or significant metric data to the ESM. Currently there is alerting for platform latency WITHIN the ESM CLI under the SnowFactory log in /var/log, these events look like the following: Jun 11 2021 14:00:01.160 snowfactory[4682] Snowfactory [warn::2::46::16] RdKafka [3:FAIL] [thrd:ssl://10.10.18.8:9092/bootstrap]: ssl://10.10.18.8:9092/bootstrap: Connect to ipv4#10.10.18.8:9092 failed: Connection refused (after 15223ms in state CONNECT, 11 identical error(s) suppressed) (lwp 13861:KafkaWrapper.h:97 Jun 11 2021 03:50:20.455 snowfactory[24643] Snowfactory [warn::2::46::16] RdKafka [3:FAIL] [thrd:ssl://192.168.91.110:9092/bootstrap]: ssl://192.168.91.110:9092/bootstrap: SSL handshake failed: Disconnected: connecting to a PLAINTEXT broker listener? (after 607546ms in state CONNECT, 1 identical error(s) suppressed) (lwp 25189:KafkaWrapper.h:97)
