ERC HA eth4 IP's

Jump to solution

Hi, I've configured ERC's in HA.I just want to understand the function of  IP showing at eth4 interface in the attached screenshot. where -

eth0 - mgmt IP

eth1  - shared IP

eth5 - heartbeat IP

what is eth4 IP for ?   on secondary rc eth4 IP' is - 172.31.255.3. Also is there any reason for this particular mask - 255.255.255.128 or its just like that.

not sure, if that is the case then what is the function of  eth5 IP=172.31.255.130 which is same on both the receivers.

4 and 5 are either heartbeat or ipmi, the crossover links between the two HAs.
