ELM Integrity Check: Logs vs Files

So, what does it mean if you run an ELM Integrity check data job and only select "Files" as the target?

Will it check integrity of all the files containing raw data as a proof that nobody tampered with it, or does this require selecting "Logs" instead?

Re: ELM Integrity Check: Logs vs Files

The "Files" option is checking the integrity of Files that have been inserted into the ELM - this is a very unusual datasource configuration so it is unlikely to produce a useful result.

e.g. a datasource with Vendor Generic, Model CIFS/SMB File Source

You will see that this configuration provides no Parsing checkbox at all, only an ELM checkbox - because all it does is save the file directly into the ELM.
