DSB and bandwidth savings

Let's assume there are two redundant ESMs, two redundant ACEs  and two redundant ELMs in a central location and multiple ERCs in remote locations connected via WAN.

Does using DSB mean that ESMs and ACEs no longer have to consume events separately from every ERC, but each ERC only pushes event data once to DSB, and then it is consumed from DSB by every ESM and ACE? If yes, can we assume that the event transfer bandwidth usage over the WAN will drop 4x?

Re: DSB and bandwidth savings

Hello.

As for your question about Does using DSB mean that ESMs and ACEs no longer have to consume events separately from every ERC, but each ERC only pushes event data once to DSB, and then it is consumed from DSB by every ESM and ACE? If yes, can we assume that the event transfer bandwidth usage over the WAN will drop 4x?

It should show a drop in usage as for the exact number I would not say. However, yes the ESM's and ACE's will collect the data from the DSB.

Hope this answers your question.

Thank You,
Eric
