Connection to iSCSI target from McAfee ESM virtual appliance

Hi, community! I want to connect our ESM to SAN using iSCSI, in order to do this, our sysadmin ask us for IQN of an initiator, I don't know where to find it.

I want to login to console of OS to find it, but default user credentials of mcafee ESM web-console isn't accepted.

Can anybody help me?

  1. Open a SSH session to the ESM or ELM.
  2. To move to the iscsi directory, run the following command and press ENTER:

    cd /etc/iscsi
  3. To see a list of files in the folder, type ls (or ll) and press ENTER.
  4. Ensure that the file called initiatorname.iscsi is present.
  5. Run the following command and press ENTER:

    cat initiatorname.iscsi

    NOTE: This will show you a single line output that will begin with InitiatorName=iqn. followed by the full initiator name.

Example output:

InitiatorName=iqn.2005-03.org.open-iscsi:20def68fc924
