Connecting to Win Server 2016 on a VMware host via ESM 9.6.0

Trying to add the above, but I'm getting back 'WMI Event Log test connection unsuccessful. Unsupported OS version (100).' when I try to test the connection. When the machine is added, it won't sync.

I'm just trying to connect as I would a normal physical windows server. Any help appreciated.

Re: Connecting to Win Server 2016 on a VMware host via ESM 9.6.0

Don't think 9.6.0 supports server 2016. Try:

- upgrade SIEM to version 10, or if you can't upgrade

- deploy and configure log forwarding by SIEM collector

Thanks man. The data sheet suggests it does unless I'm misreading - but I can't argue that that's what the error suggests! 😄
